"With All my Soul" by Rachel Vincent

Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Series: Soul Screamers #7
Format: Paperback; 384 pages
Publication: March 26, 2013 by Harlequin Teen
Cover Rating: 5/5 Stars

From Goodreads: What does it mean when your school is voted the most dangerous in America? It's time to kick some hellion butt...

After not really surviving her junior year (does "undead" count as survival?), Kaylee Cavanaugh has vowed to take back her school from the hellions causing all the trouble. She's going to find a way to turn the incarnations of Avarice, Envy and Vanity against one another in order to protect her friends and finish this war, once and forever.

But then she meets Wrath and understands that she's closer to the edge than she's ever been. And when one more person close to her is taken, Kaylee realizes she can't save everyone she loves without risking everything she has....

*SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read the previous Soul Screamers novels, you may want to skip this review. No spoilers for With All My Soul.*

My Thoughts: *SOB* I don't want it to be over!!! This was one of the best series endings I have ever read! What I love about Rachel Vincent is that she is not afraid to take risks in her writing, and luckily for her they work out. Like creating this HUGE love triangle and switching the love interest to Tod?! I mean that was a RISK. BIG TIME. But it worked! At least for me (Team Tod!). Back to my point though, you can expect the same risk taking in the last soul screamers book, but don't fret! There will be heartache, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and more importantly, you will get closure! Which is a epic deal to me. I hate when I read series, only to get to the end and the author just leaves everything up in the air. Nothing pisses me off more. And thank goodness Rachel Vincent didn't do that to us (or Kaylee).

This series is so worth your time, and this ending? THIS ENDING! It's amazing. The plot was intense, there was no easy way out. I honestly didn't know what was coming. It's like one giant build up and you can't wait to reach the end. You need to read this series!!!! If I could chose one series for you to read this year, Soul Screamers would be it!

"Deadlocked" by Charlaine Harris

Genre: Urban Fantasy
Series: Sookie Stackhouse #12
Format: Paperback; 340 pages
Publication: March 26, 2013
Cover Rating: 3/5 Stars

From Goodreads: Felipe de Castro, the vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town. It’s the worst possible time for a human body to show up in Eric Northman’s front yard—especially the body of a woman whose blood he just drank.

Now it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s set out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down.

My Thoughts: So, I was a little hesitant about reading this. I mean, I knew I would (I've gone this far, I'm not going back now! Plus, you know, Eric Northman and all my love for him), but I have to admit that the later Sookie books have just not been up to par with the earlier novels. HOWEVER, I do have to say I really enjoyed Deadlocked! Much more then what I thought I would. It has the feel of the earlier novels, and I found myself laughing at loud a lot. Plus, the mystery in this one was good as well (even though I had my suspensions about who the killer was).  Overall, I really enjoyed it and I thought it carried a lot of wit and interest. Especially for Eric's character <3 p="">
That being said, I am "happy" the series will be coming to an end in May. It's time. I hate to say goodbye to Eric Sookie, but if these series drags out any longer I think it will lose it's heart. I know I'm going to be bawling like a baby and desperately hoping Sookie will end up with who I want her to (Hm, I wonder who that is?! Haha) when I read the final book. If you haven't picked up this series yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. Seriously. The first books are beyond fantastic and original. Sookie is one of my all time favorite characters. And if you haven't seen the show, then WHY THE HECK NOT?! You are missing out on Eric/Alexander Skarsgard body! Don't worry, you can thank me later. Just remember: Eric's mine.

"Clockwork Princess" by Cassandra Clare

Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Series: The Infernal Devices #3
Format: Hardback; 568 pages
Publication: March 19, 2012
Cover Rating: 5/5 Stars

From Goodreads: Tessa Gray should be happy - aren't all brides happy?
Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute.
A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her.

My Thoughts: I LOVED IT!!! I laughed, I cried, I sobbed. I knew that this book was probably going to gut me emotionally (I mean, there was just no way around it- someone wasn't getting a happy ending). But I still thought it was perfect! The plot is just amazingly addictive in this book, and I couldn't put it down. I loved it so much. Didn't I say that already? Oh well, I did. Cassandra Clare has just sucked me into her shadowhunter world and I can't help but be obsessed!

"Wild Child" by Shelley Munro

Genre: Adult Romance (18+)
Format: Kindle (67 pages)
Publication: 2010 by All Romance E-Books
Cover Rating: 5/5 Stars

From Goodreads: Zoë Underwood loved Matt Cantrell from the moment her mother married his father. She definitely thinks of him as more than a big brother and even though he moved away from home the moment their parents got married, her feelings for him have grown stronger, bigger. More. No one presses her buttons like the tall, dark and gorgeous Matt. If only he can get over the eight-year age difference.

Now, Zoë is determined to snare her man. She wants one thing—Matt’s love. It’s time for her to make a move, stir things up a little and take a chance on love.

My Thoughts: This is a really great read if you're looking for something quick and sexy. What you see, is what you get: two hot step-siblings who have supposedly been in love with each other from the get go. Matt Cantrell moved all the way across the ocean to get away from his relentless step-sister's advances, but he's out of luck because Zoe is the kind of girl who goes after what she wants- no matter what.

It's fun, fast paced, and hot! However, if you're looking for something with a little substances, or background you may wanna skip it. I think this story actually has the potential to be 5 star quality if the author went and dived in more. Gave us some background, more feelings, length. It would definitely be on my TBR list!
