Colleen Hoover Reading Binge Review!

So the past few days I went on a Colleen Hoover reading binge. I read Slammed (review here) & Point of Retreat (review here) last year and both were amazing. So this week I decided I would play some catch up on Mrs. Hoover. And holy crap am I glad I did! Here's the mini-reviews, and trust me when I say you should go buy all of them!

From Goodreads: At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

My Thoughts: !!!! That was me the entire time reading Maybe Someday. Seriously, it was amazing. It instantly became one of my favorites, and I will probably be re-reading it any day now. Sydney and Ridge had such amazing chemistry that I couldn't put their story down. Not to mention, Ridge is SO swoon-worthy!!! As always CH spins out an ORIGINAL NA story that leaves you turning the pages well past midnight, and begging for more. Seriously, I cannot say anything bad about this book. It was absolutely perfect and full of The Feels! My Rating: 5/5 Stars!

From Goodreads: Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

My Thoughts: I SO loved the heroine, Sky, is this novel! She was so thought-provoking, relateable, strong, and just plain bad-ass. Her story will leave you crying and hoping against everything that you're wrong about her past. What can I say, Colleen Hoover knows how to pull on our heart-strings. However, I will be honest and say this was my least favorite of her novels (which granted, isn't saying too much because she's an epic writer and none of her work is bad). This novel just didn't suck me in as much as the others. I also wasn't a fan of the insta-love between Sky and Holder. I didn't really feel their connection as quickly as it developed and I also never really felt connected to Holder as a character. BUT Hopeless was still a great novel and one I would recommend to anyone who loves the NA genre!

My Rating: 3/5 Stars

From Goodreads: *This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series, but can be read as a standalone. *

A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don’t happen outside of fairytales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretended to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two loves of his life end up being one in the same.

Unfortunately for Daniel, finding Cinderella doesn’t guarantee their happily ever after…it only further threatens it

My Thoughts: What I felt was lacking in Hopeless, I found in the novella Finding Cinderella! I freaking LOVED Daniel and Six together! Their personalities were just so in-tuned with the other that it made for one hell of a great story! My only complaint is that it's over and that they didn't get a full story! Because they SO could have! Finding Cinderella is definitely my second favorite Colleen Hoover book (only falling short to Maybe Someday) and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE. Even if you haven't read Hopeless you can still read this. Besides some intersecting characters, it is a complete stand-alone.

My Rating:  5/5 Stars
