Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. They ask a question, in which you answer on your own blog, and then you link back up with them. After you post, you can go back to the other links to discover new blogs and friends!
*Feel free to follow me in one or any of the available networks on the right of my sidebar. Let me know in a comment how you are following me and put in your own blog link so I can follow you back in the same way(s)! Additionally, please do not just comment and say "Following you via ___. Here's my blog____". I don't blog for numbers, but for genuine interests in books and conversation. Let me know you at least read my post ;) Thanks guys!*
Q: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day. In celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?
Ohh, this is a hard one! Most of the books I read the relationship between the mom and the daughter are terrible! lol. But I have to say, I really like the relationship Mia from If I Stay had with her mom. That whole family, actually, had a fantastic bond with each other.
Oh, how didn't I think of If I Stay?! I couldn't come up with an answer for this week at all!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

DeleteOh that's a good one. Been dying to read that one. I had such a hard time with this question, never noticed it before but parents don't play a huge role in YA fiction do they? Now following you! Return the favor if you'd like, if you do say hi!
ReplyDeletewww.dogearedandcoffeestained.blogspot.com
It's true! They really don't play a huge role in YA novels. A lot of the time they help cause issues for the protagonist (kinda how I remember my mom being! haha). Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOh my gosh I don't know how I missed If I Stay either! Such a great book and Mia's relationship with her mother is definitely one of the sweeter ones I've read. Stopping by from FF, by the way! I just became your newest follower :) Cheers!
ReplyDeleteIt was just about the only one I could think of! I love how she helps Mia dress up for Adam's show, it was so sweet! Thanks for stopping by and following! Going to check out your post now!
