Follow Friday #2

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. They ask a question in which you answer, and then link up with them. After you post, you can go back to the other links to discover new blogs and friends!

*Feel free to follow me via any of the networks I have set up on the side, however I am two away from thirty on my FB page, so it would be awesome if I could reach at least that, I promise not to overflow your feed with uselessness!*

This week's question:

Do you read one book at a time? Or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

Alas, my ability to multi-task is nil. Also, I have this weird OCD thing about reading one book at a time. I like to keep my mind in one world instead of trying to switch back and forth. It makes life easier for me. What about you guys? Do you switch back and forth or do you stick to one at a time?

  1. Happy Friday, Sonnie! :) I'm a new follower through GFC. My preference is to do as you do - one at a time. I tend to have at least 3 going at a time, though, because I tend to leave my paper book downstairs and read on my Nook at night before bed. Then there's the Kindle app on my phone for if I'm out and about and waiting on things... sounds kind of hectic when I type it out like that!

    Have a great weekend. :)

Here's my FF post for today. :)

    1. Thanks for following!

Haha, well, that's probably what I would do too if I had a downstairs! Luckily, I'm usually at home or my book is in my purse.

Going to check out your post now!

  3. I guess no book can keep my attention enough for me not to read a couple at a time. Following through GFC, Twitter, and Facebook. Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Interesting answer. Most answers I've been seeing are where bloggers only read one at a time.

Thanks for stopping by and following. Am now following your blog too.

  6. I like to switch back and forth. I like to read a little vampires, a little dystopian, a little romance all at once. So sometimes that means reading 5 books at once. Thanks for visiting My FF and I'm following back GFC and twitter!

  10. I stick to one because I get the plots and characters mixed up if I read more.

  11. Similiar here. I usually only read one book at a time, too! :) Sometimes more, but that's happening rarely.

  12. I used to feel a bit confused juggling two or more books; but I guess I got used to it. You really can't fight a sort of an OCD, though!!
    Happy reading!

  14. Hi Sonnie. Thanks for reading my review of Pandemonium. I'm so glad to have someone to talk about it with. It was so intense.
Anyway, to answer the question - I've tried reading two at a time before. Often, I'll be listening to an audiobook that I'm listening to and a print book I'm reading. But usually I end up favoring one of the books over the other and just focus on that one until I finish it.
